Hello Friends! I write this with a happy and heavy heart. I’ll go through the heavy part first…
Some of you may know that my business partner Kelly Simants‘ mother was recently diagnosed with cancer. Kelly has been attending to the needs of her family, flying between her home in Dallas and her parents’ home in Seattle. Her mother is not doing well. For me, it is so hard to watch my good friend go through this. Kelly and I agreed that it would be best for her not to co-present with me at The Simple Plan in Nashville. Her family needs her. And, Kelly needs to take care of herself.
The wedding industry is amazing. There are really good people here. I emailed Saundra Hadley to see if she could co-present with me and she jumped right in! (She literally phoned me 15 minutes from when I emailed her.) PEOPLE – this woman is busy! But, she has a great heart and she is always there to help a friend in need. So, this is where I get into the happy part…

Saundra is INCREDIBLE. Aside from her good heart, she knows her stuff. She is a Sales Maven – and a funny one at that. She is a great partner for us because her style of teaching is much like ours: straightforward, simple, and REAL… with some laughter thrown in. Saundra will be presenting the marketing portion of our workshop. Ultimately, the purpose of a solid marketing plan is to SELL. Here is a little more about Saundra…
Well-known for her infectious laugh and collection of Chuck Taylor shoes (don’t ask how many she owns), Saundra and her family came to the Midwest in the mid-nineties from Southern California. Her previous background in selling advertising to local and national businesses for a major media corporation, easily assisted her to launch her event planning business planning…forever events in 2003.
Tapping into her previous sales training (which included well-known courses produced by Dale Carnegie and Zig Zigler. Quickly she was filling a strong need for creative wedding and event professionals to have real talk about sales methods, asking for the sale and general sales training. Not the fluffy, abstract thinking….but real principles and methods to instantly apply to increase your sales.
Now, when she isn’t planning a wedding or corporate event, Saundra speaks nationally at various conferences as the GET REAL Sales Coach on sales topics. She has produced her own sales workshops and personally coaches event professional businesses. Saundra will inspire forward-thinking and through the use of humor and high energy, will never leave you bored.
