The Simple Plan – Dallas Wrap-Up

Kelly and I got the opportunity to work with an amazing group of 20 wedding professionals at The Simple Plan in Dallas.  What we love most about this business planning workshop is that we get to strategize with businesses in all wedding trades with varying degrees of experience.  We were joined by florists, photographers, invite designers, videographers, caterers and wedding planners.  We had professionals who were pre-start-up on through 13+ years in business!  It goes to show that business planning is necessary at all stages of business.  People joined us to write their first plan or re-write one that had been untouched for many years.

One of the most powerful pieces of the business plan is defining the mission statement for a business.  The mission statement should guide an organization in all its business decisions.  It should define the brand, the niche, marketing plans, and financial strategy.  We use the mission statement as our touchstone with every decision we make for our company.
