Kelly and I are jumping out of skin with excitement for this contest. And, we’re giggling with anticipation.
Here’s the deal…
we want to SEE you!
In this day-n-age we sit at our computers and have long intimate conversations with people via email, facebook, and skype. We want to see your soul. And, the eyes are the windows to the soul. So, show us what you’re all about! For The Simple Plan D.C. CONTEST we are asking you to send us a movie clip of why you want to attend our business planning workshop. We’ll pick our three favorites and post them to the blog.
Here are a few rules:
- Show us or tell us, “Why do you want to attend The Simple Plan?”
- Movie clips must be no longer than 1 minute long.
- You can use any form of capturing your movie, but you must be able to upload it online. (Get it into digital format.)
- The movie can be funny, informative, kooky, funky, serious, or plain-n-simple… whatever you want.
- Amateur or professional… we welcome all entries.
- Show us yourself, show us your work, show us symbols of what you do… you can film anything.
- Send us the clips via email to michelle-at-sageweddingpros-dot-com or load up to youtube or vimeo and send us the link. (If you use another video broadcasting service, just share the link with us.)
- All submissions must be sent to us no later than noon EST on Wednesday February 17th.
- We will select our three favorites. The first prize will get full admission to The Simple Plan in Washington DC. The second and third prizes will get $100 off of the workshop. (We’d like this to go to people who plan on attending, so please submit a video only if you have an intention of going to DC for The Simple Plan this March 29-30.)
- This isn’t a modeling or acting screen test… we just want to see you and get to know you on another medium. We don’t care what you look like or whether you washed your hair or whether your makeup is on just right. We’re looking for something interesting.
- Winners will be announced Wednesday, February 17th at 5pm EST.
- You must have fun doing this.

We imagine that there will be fewer entries since this is gonna make you work a bit… so your chances of winning are pretty good.
You oughta be in pictures,
You’re wonderful to see,
You oughta be in pictures,
Oh what a hit you would be!
