Are you having fun?
If your answer is “yes”… then keep at it!
But, if you aren’t sure… Or, if your answer is “no”… then, you have a two options:
- Figure out WHY you aren’t having fun and fix it.
Maybe you don’t like the clients you are working with. This sounds like you need to redefine your niche. Maybe you don’t like the long hours you are working. You may need to reset your priorities. Maybe you aren’t earning what you should be for how hard you work. You may want to rework your pricing and your sales plan. Sit back and think: what is it that is holding you back from enjoying your career? How can you change that?
OR
- Move on.
This is a really hard one to tell people who just aren’t having fun with their career. You may have poured blood, sweat, and tears into your job – or business. But, if you aren’t having fun, then you either need to change something, or move on. You may need to shift your career into another area. Or, you may need to build a new one. But staying where you are isn’t going to do you in any good. This can be scary, but BE BRAVE.
You have to DECIDE and take action: You are either happy and stay put, unhappy and change something, or unhappy and move on. Make sure you are conscious of this. And, make sure you are having fun!
